INTERFLEX drying units have been designed for drying water and solvent washable photopolymer plates. The hot-air principle is chosen and the dryers are equipped with thermostatic control, built-in ventilators to provide an even temperature throughout all drying sections, and air filters. In the drying cabinet an overpressure is created. Therefore the circulation of the drying air reaches its optimum. Overpressure is a suitable carrier for solvent vapors and takes care of an efficient discharge. Thanks to special locks the drying drawers are closed hermetically in order to avoid air leaking. Whenever a drawer is opened the ventilators close down automatically. Each drawer is fitted with an individual timer. It is therefore possible to adjust a certain drying time for each individual photopolymer plate.

The INTERFLEX finishing unit is a combined post-exposure and aftertreatment specially designed for photopolymer flexo plates. Lamps, eliminating the use of chemicals carry out the plate finishing operation. These lamps provide a thorough finishing of plates in preparation for use on the press.
